Painting is what I hold closest to my heart and my sketchbooks are filled with the human form and their natural surroundings from travels, especially train journeys all over the world.

Recently I have been exploring ceramics, preferring to make earthenware coiled vessels, pots and plates as well as whimsical one-off, hand-built objects. Their surface becomes my canvas, drawing on them as I would with charcoal, often with sgraffito or cobalt painted blue lines: colourful stories of people and planet.

At the moment I am working towards a project based on mythology and subjects from The Odyssey.
